“We look forward to providing employment opportunities, new services and a unique dining experience to residents in South Jacksonville,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s. “With its location along Interstate 72, we’re in a prime location to serve members of the community, leisure travelers and professional drivers going to and from Springfield, Illinois, and Hannibal, Missouri, and beyond. We look forward to providing the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for to the South Jacksonville area.”

The new store brings approximately 70 jobs to Morgan County. It’s open 24/7 and offers gourmet coffee, fresh fruit, gift items and more. IHOP Express guests will be able to enjoy made-to-order breakfast favorites all day, every day. The restaurant concept combines the convenience of ordering at a service counter with the experience of being served food when it’s ready in the dining area. Included on the IHOP Express menu are many of the iconic brand’s most popular breakfast foods and beverages – like its world-famous Buttermilk Pancakes, fluffy omelettes, hickory-smoked bacon and International House Roast Coffee® – as well as signature lunch and dinner items, such as sandwiches and hand-seasoned 100% USDA choice beef burgers on a Brioche bun.

The travel stop also provides services for professional truck drivers. The South Jacksonville location offers 69 truck-parking spaces, five showers and other driver services.

Love’s is celebrating the opening by donating $2,000 to the Four Rivers Special Education District. The donation will be presented at a ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16.
