“We’re excited to bring services and a new dining option to residents, travelers and professional drivers in the Okmulgee area,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s Travel Stops. “Okmulgee is home to Love’s third IHOP Express restaurant. We look forward to providing quality menu items and the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for to more Customers.”

IHOP Express is a convenient way for guests to enjoy IHOP signature food and beverages, even when visiting a local IHOP restaurant isn’t an option. In addition to breakfast served all day -- like their world-famous buttermilk pancakes, hickory-smoked bacon and never-ending coffee pot -- guests can also choose from delicious lunch and dinner menu items. IHOP Express guests order from the convenience of a service counter with food delivered by a team member to the dining area.

Along with the travel stop, the IHOP Express is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The 10,000 square-foot travel stop features gourmet coffee, fresh fruit, gift merchandise, name-brand electronics and more. Professional drivers can take advantage of five showers and 59 truck-parking spaces.

The new store is opening during Love’s annual companywide campaign to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Okmulgee residents can get involved by purchasing a paper balloon for $1, $5 or $20 through September 30. In addition, a cookout will be held at the store on Saturday, Sept. 24. All the money raised locally goes to The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis, the local CMN Hospital. For 18 years, Love’s and its Customers have raised more than $15 million to help sick and injured children.

Love’s will celebrate the opening of the new location with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16. Love’s will donate $2,000 to Okmulgee High School as a part of the grand opening festivities.
